Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things we do and I believe it should also be one of the most meaningful.

I am a celebrant known for creating beautifully bespoke funeral services that capture the true essence of the guest of honour. Every life is different, and I take great care to ensure each ceremony reflects the person’s story, personality, faith, culture and the love they leave behind.

Some farewells are intimate and quiet, where I step away from the lectern and simply hold the space with a gentle, melodic presence. Others are joyful celebrations of life including one unforgettable service where 150 people danced together to the Macarena.

I have also had the honour to lead unique tributes such as a scooter funeral with a drive-past procession, and a ceremony closed with the sound of a plane flying off into the distance.

The process always begins with a family meeting, where I listen, gather memories and get to know the guest of honour. It is my privilege to walk alongside loved ones as the service takes shape.

I work closely with local funeral directors and officiates at crematoria, gravesides and memorials.

Funeral service creation and delivery

Family meeting

Initial introduction telephone call within 48 hours of appointment, sooner if possible.
In person at the family home, funeral director’s premises, or online using Google Meet, WhatsApp or FaceTime (approx. 1 hour) to complete a thorough scoping questionnaire.

Eulogy and service creation

Service format and eulogy created for family in line with time restrictions at crematorium or agreed time with funeral director for graveside and ash interments.
Email / text contact regularly with the family throughout the process.
Agreed final service format 72 hours before the service.
Welfare check-in the day before the service.

Liaison with funeral directors

Confirmation of appointment.
Notification of family meeting confirmed and held.
Confirmation of order of service and music requests to be ordered (family may do this direct with funeral director).
Confirmation that the eulogy and service have been agreed.
Confirmation of family wishes regarding entering the chapel, any rituals (laying flowers on coffin, candle lighting, etc.), opening/closing of curtains and donation collections.
